Translation Support
Language access matters. A lot.
People come to Conexión Latina because they need help understanding something important. A school form. A lease. A legal document. A medical letter. A job application. Usually it’s urgent. Usually it’s stressful.
We want to be clear upfront about how we help.
What We Do and What We Don’t
Conexión Latina does not provide direct translation or interpretation services in house.
What we do provide is access.
Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with trusted, professional translators and interpreters across Aquidneck Island and Rhode Island. These are people who do this work for a living. Certified professionals. Community based providers. Folks who understand not just the language, but the context behind it.
When someone comes to us needing translation support, we connect them to the right person.
How Our Referrals Work
We take a few minutes to understand:
-
What language is needed
-
What type of document or situation it is
-
How soon it’s needed
-
Whether it’s written translation or live interpretation
Then we make a referral to a professional who fits that need. Local when possible. Reliable always.
We don’t just hand over a random phone number. We connect people to providers we know and trust.
Why We Work This Way
Translation is specialized work. It deserves accuracy, confidentiality, and care.
Rather than offering something halfway, we focus on doing what we do best. Supporting our community. Navigating systems. Making sure people aren’t left alone trying to figure things out in a language that isn’t theirs.
